If you are a fan of this great music player (just like I am) and use Last.fm (just like I do), you probably searched already for a plugin to allow you to upload your played tracks to the website.
Search no more. Because the audioscrobbler code is open source, someone made a AIMP2 compatible pluging with it. I’ll be hosting it on my website so it’s easier to find for the ones searching for it.
After downloading the plugin, it only takes some simple steps:
1. Go to your AIMP2 Plugin folder (most probably: C:\Program Files\AIMP2\PlugIns) and put the plugin that you can download at the bottom of this page there.
2. Download Last.fm for your computer here.
3. Install it, follow the common instructions. Enter your username and password when asked. After that the program will detect your installed audio programs. It won’t include AIMP2. Thats why you choose to add… Go to your AIMP2 Folder and choose the executable (AIMP2.exe), the player type choose Winamp (they are compatible, since AIMP2 isn’t listed).
Voilá! It should be working.
You can download the aimp2 last.fm plugin here:
Download aimp_lastfm.dll
PS - I’m not the author of this plugin. I’m just hosting it since the original source isn’t available anymore.
