49 Amazing Wallpapers

Here are some of the greatest wallpapers you can find on the internet. These are among my favorites and I hope you enjoy using them as much as I did collecting them here.

I was looking at the wallappers I have in My Pictures folder and remember to share them with you. Most come from deviantArt, since this is my favourite source to search for stuff like this.

Don’t forget to leave comments (if possible) in the authors pages to thank them for their work. And if you need a little help customizing your desktop, try my Windows Customization Guide.

I didn’t like them that much all were pretty uninteresting. Some of the first ones looked like the default wall paper settings on windows.

Oh, good show there. The author specifically requests on their page that this artwork NOT be posted on blogs or commercial sites, and even goes so far as to watermark the image where they’ve displayed it to keep this from happening, and then you go out of your way to steal it anyway from someplace ELSE that’s posting it against their wishes! That’s the kind of determined thievery that the internet needs more of. [/sarcasm]

Seriously, I’m all for the free exchange of information, ideas, and materials on the web, but if an artist asks specifically that their work not be posted elsewhere, its pretty crappy to ignore them. Not cool man, not cool.

Hi, Erica.

You are right.. but not totally. The Author says it can’t be used in Blogs. Where did I used it? I Didn’t. I just linked it to the authors page. When I downloaded it it was intact, without the Marks. I came to found that it’s now marked. The author says it can’t be used in anyway, well, I’m not using it, I’m featuring it, that’s totally different.

Anyway, you are right and I’ve deleted that comment. If anyone wants to find it, search for it then, it’s easy to find. I respect the authors because I’ve done works too, some that have been used without my permission, others totally ripped, etc.

PS – Anyway, I’m contacting the Author in question and if he has any problem in me linking it to his Deviant Page, I’m removing it.

This is really starting to PI** me off. If these “artist” don’t want their work used, don’t put it on the internet. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating stealing an using for profit. I totally support that. But, if someone posts a wallpaper, why can’t I use it as a desktop wallpaper??? Do they really THINK that if I had to pay a dollar for it, I’d pay it??? That’s just stupid (and greedy.) Take your stinking (so-called) artwork and get it off the internet. I can live without it…

how come when I set them as Wallpapers, they are small, so much that when I stretch them to fit my desktop the quality is poor?

That would depend on the size/resolution of your screen and at the wallpaper you are referring to.

Anyway, most of them linked here are available in several resolutions.
