10 Revolutionary Computer Designs

Apple iMac

The original computer (computer as something similar to what we have today) from the 80s was pretty different from today’s computers. Obviously design evolve over time and computers turned from monster machines into portable friends that aid us everyday in different tasks. Even if today we find computers attractive, specially if we look at designs like the iMac from Apple, there is still a long way to improve and innovate in form, utility and design. Today I bring you some of the most revolutionary computer projects to be known.

@Dan – I know Dan, but we never know what the future bring us and inspirational design is always the source for other creations. :)

Seems like part of the problem with conceptual design is that it is so futuristic that it appears to be limited in functionality. Of all the units listed here only half of them seem reasonable in design and function, but then again this may be more of an indication of the limitations of my imagination. None the less I love the idea behind the Napkin PC.

@toxich20 – Have to agree with you. Most of the concepts normally doesn’t take functionality into account.

@ram – It will Surelly will, anyway I think the most advancements in computers will be under the hood with Ligh Processors, etc, not in terms of design. :)
