I agree with bodtydetox. So far and for a long time indeed a lot of people have slated other versions of Windows, and XP is still the more 'reliable' version of Windows (though there is no such thing as a superstable OS - stuff of dreams really that is). However, I do have multiple tweaks on my PC and some are more pleasant than others, and more useful. The Vipack (the one which includes ViStart, ViOrb (waste of time because you can get bog standard themes that include this if you get styler v1.x and Viexplore) was a nice thing for a while, but if you want to transform your desktop I'd just download the theme patch (uxtheme.dll) and styler and POSSIBLY (the choice is down to the individual) Tuneup Utilities 2008 (mostly because you can get it for free and for nothing!). The whole thing adds up quite nicely and it works pretty well for me - and so far (touch anything wood - within reason, wood does have connotations in some areas!) it works fine for me. This guide stuff is great and I like how it's been laid out. Great work dude. I'll be coming back to see what else you pick up along the way!

the interface of Windows 7 is great but in my opinion Windows XP is still a very solid and stable operating system. Right now, I would never give up XP for Windows 7.
